Raspberry Brownies combine two of our favorite flavors, raspberry, and chocolate, in one sweet treat.
Brownies are so simple and so good. My daughter and I have been making this recipe since she was a little girl. Now that my granddaughter is old enough, we make them every chance we get. Raspberry Brownies are just one variation of a quick and easy family favorite. This is a great brownie recipe all by itself, but we are adding raspberry jam for this blog.
There are so many other variations we use to mix it up. Dried cranberries, chopped walnuts, peanut butter, caramel, and milk chocolate chips are just a few. They are all amazing individually or used in any combination. So our next one will be peanut butter, caramel, and milk chocolate chips. Yum! What would you add?
Raspberry Brownies Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter (melted)
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 4 eggs
- ¾ cup cocoa powder (sifted)
- 1 cup flour
- ½ tsp. baking powder
- ¼ tsp. salt
- 8 oz Raspberry jam (or any flavor you prefer)
Instructions:
Heat the oven to 350 degrees and grease a 13×9 pan.
First, add melted butter, sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl and mix well. Then, add one egg at a time, beating well with a wooden spoon after each egg.
Next, add sifted cocoa powder and blend well.
Continuing, add flour, baking powder, and salt and blend until flour is mixed in. At this point, you can add any other dry ingredient options like dried cranberries, chopped walnuts, and our absolute favorite, milk chocolate chips. Also, feel free to add any combination of the above. Yum!
Pour batter into your greased pan. Just a side note, I like to put a piece of parchment paper at the bottom of the pan. It helps when I flip the pan over to remove the Raspberry Brownies.
Now, it’s time to add your jam. I added the jam using a teaspoon one dollop at a time, going across and down. You can also use a piping bag to add the jam. This is also where you can mix it up with other wet ingredient options instead of jam, like peanut butter or caramel.
Then, using a knife, I lightly swirled it around. I used about 8 ounces of jam. I have a habit of not measuring. Feel free to add more or less if you like.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until brownies pull away from the side of the pan.
Cool and cut into any size you want, from large dessert slices to small bites. Enjoy!
